Pocket  Piggy's

When I was a young Boy,
my Grandfather used to make these little Piggy's out of a Pecan Shell.  
The Snout of the Piggy was removable,
and he would put a live Fly inside to
make the Pig come to life and seem animated.  

He would spend several hours a week making these little piggy's by
hand, carving everything from the eyes, ears, tail, and snout.
The Housefly gives the Pig the power of Life
and he would sell these to people for their own amusement
and to support himself.

Sadly.... My grandfather died over 30 years ago, we miss him but as a
child I watched him make these piggy's over and over again,
not realizing one day my own passion for creating these little pigs!
I had been searching high and low for years
looking for someone else who knew the secret of
how to hand craft these little pigs to no avail.....
NOBODY else out there was making these,
so I took it upon myself to learn my grandfathers craft
making mistakes, over and over again, until I was finally able
to make my own signature line of Piggy's!
