Illusion of the Deadly Conglomerate
An old down and out Magician,
"Frank" (Jack Ging), who works
at a skid-row mission, seeks
Tony's help when some of his friends start disappearing from
another homeless shelter run
by "Reverend Wally Schneider" (Eugene Roche).
Through his investigations, Tony discovers
that Wally, a crooked doctor, a businessman, and
"Pete Hayden" (William Sylvester),
are drugging and selling homeless men who resemble wealthy
men who wish to fake their own
deaths (for various reasons, such as avoiding the law).
The homeless men are killed,
usually in a fiery crash, where only dental records -
which have been doctored by the
"deadly conglomerate" -
are used to make the identification.
Tony debuts the steel throwing card in
this episode, which come in handy to affect the rescue of his
friend Frank, who was selected as a donor.
Frank has a successful performance "come back" at the Castle,
but decides to
continue working at the mission.
