Keene   Curtis

 

Actor Keen Curtis born February 15th 1923.
A graduate from the University of Utah, where he
was a student actor and cheerleader.  

Keene Curtis was said
to have been discovered by Orson Welles,
when Welles was directing a College Production
of “Macbeth”
and launched Keen Curtis Stage Career .  

Keene Curtis was also Awarded a Tony in 1971
for best supporting actor in the musical,
"The Rothschilds."

By 1973 he landed the television roll of
Max Pomeroy for the first season of the show.  


Apparently
Mr. Curtis was not happy

with the direction of his Character on
“The Magician” and this was only part of the
equasion for the Shows change of scenery
for the second season.


He DID however, make his final appearance as
Max Pomeroy in the episode
“Illusion of the Queens Gambit”
during the second season.

Keene Curtis died on October 13th, 2002 from
complications of Alzheimers Disease
in Bountiful Utah
